Despite the fact that food safety is considered a basic right in Australia, each year literally millions of cases of food-related illnesses are reported.

Because food safety can be compromised at any point in the production process, Safe Food Production Queensland (SFPQ) works in partnership with Primary Industries and Fisheries and Queensland Health across the entire food chain, to ensure Queensland’s food supply is safe. Our main focus is food safety within primary production and processing.
