Free online training course aimed at new dairy workers

Are you new to the dairy manufacturing industry or do you frequently hire new staff? A new online training course is now available targeted at newcomers to dairy manufacturing.

The free course is designed to support existing onboarding and training activities by dairy businesses and covers basics in food safety and the role everyone plays in the dairy supply chain.

The course is video based (with subtitles) and takes about 45 minutes to complete.

Topics include:

  • Food safety hazards
  • Food safety culture
  • Personal hygiene
  • Cleaning and sanitising practices.

Users are asked to complete a short quiz at the end of each module and issued a certificate of completion at the end.

The course is hosted online so it can be completed anywhere, including prior to someone’s start day.

Users can register for the course here.

More free training available

This course is the latest addition to a series of free online training courses for dairy manufacturers, developed by Dairy Australia, Safe Food Production Queensland and other state regulators, that has been funded by the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

Topics of these other courses include food recalls, microbiological testing, food safety programs, and good hygiene practices.
