Safe Food Production Queensland, in partnership with Dairy Australia and other state regulators, has developed a series of free online training courses for dairy manufacturers:

These courses are designed to help dairy manufacturers develop or upgrade their skills and knowledge in food safety.

Understanding Food Safety Programs

This course is designed to help business leaders, QA Managers and other staff understand the basic components of a food safety program and how to use it day-to-day to manage food safety risks within their business. Practical examples provide context to the principles discussed throughout the course, giving users a greater understanding and path forward for developing or amending their own food safety program.*

Understanding the Food Recall Process in Australia

In this course, users can gauge the impact of a food recall on their business, then develop skills in communications and business continuity planning to reduce the impact on their business and meet their statutory responsibilities. Micro Testing in Dairy Manufacturing

This course is designed to help QA staff and others within a dairy manufacturing business understand the importance and value of an effective microbiological testing program. Users will learn how testing fits within a greater verification program, the common microbiological hazards that impact dairy, and how testing can help verify their processing activities. Practical examples will provide clarity around product testing and environmental monitoring, how to implement a product testing procedure, and how to interpret micro test results.
